DIRECTOR – R&D / QA

The Director – R&D / QA at Galloway Company plays a crucial role in ensuring our ability to produce innovative products that are also in compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and other regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead R&D and application efforts of the R&D Team.
• Advise Senior Leadership on food safety, quality and regulatory compliance matters as necessary.
• Articulate activities and needs related to R&D/QA and food safety.
• Participate in strategic planning and annual budgeting activities.
• Promote and support Galloway’s culture, mission and values.
• Lead, coach and develop the R&D and QA teams.
• Review risk frameworks for areas of improvement.
• Ensure safety and quality considerations in decision-making.
• Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of food, nutrition or beverage manufacturing experience required
• 5+ years of R&D experience required
• 4+ years of Management experience required
• Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory knowledge required
• Quality Management System experience required
• ERP Experience required
